Common questions.

We're a low-budget production. Is Juniper still an option?

Yes. We work with independent features, documentaries and self-funded projects, and we're open to flexible arrangements where a project is a good fit. Our rates cover the people and systems your production actually uses.

How does a remote facility actually work?

We don't keep a permanent building. For every production we design the setup around the work: hardware installed at your location, remote systems, or a mix. You choose what you need, and we build, install and support it.

How fast can you stand up a cutting room?

In most cases, days. That covers anything from a single editor to multiple connected suites with shared storage, though exact timing depends on the equipment required. We install on site anywhere in Australia and configure remote edit systems for teams working apart.

What does overnight dailies mean in practice?

Footage from today's shoot is transferred securely, synced, processed through a calibrated colour pipeline, and sitting in editorial the next morning, with review copies delivered to producers and studio wherever they are.

Can you work with our existing post facility, colourist or VFX vendor?

Yes. Our systems are built to integrate with external teams. We regularly hand off to and receive from other facilities, and we're comfortable being one part of a larger post pipeline.

Can you provide a studio space for our show?

We don't maintain permanent office space of our own, which keeps our rates down. If your production needs a physical base, we can help arrange a suitable space and fit it out with everything post needs.

We're a long-running production. Can we buy equipment rather than rent it?

Yes. We offer rent-to-own packages for editorial systems and storage, with support throughout and ad hoc assistance after purchase, so you keep working systems without recurring costs.

Do you work with international productions?

Yes. Remote dailies and VFX are location-independent, and our time zone (GMT+10) means notes sent at the end of a US working day land in our morning. Post spend with us can also qualify for Australia's PDV incentives, worth up to 45% back on Queensland post work.

How far does your editorial support extend?

Beyond installs, our people provide workflow consulting, training and support across post roles. That's often most useful when a production hits a challenging stretch, like staff turnover, and needs experienced hands quickly.
